What happened to Odd Thomas?
This book was disappointing from the beginning. Odd Thomas has apparantly been kidnapped and replaced by someone pretenting to be him. His sense of humor, self, and morals are very unlike the previous Oddie - and I won't even bring up the gun. The characters were hard to like and one of the main ones - completely annoying. I am not even sure that Dean Kootnz wrote this book - the writing style is so different. My advice, if you love Odd Thomas - skip this book and wait for the next one. Maybe Mr. Koontz will snap out of the "fog" that he was in while writing this one.

Another Great One
Another great addition to the Odd Thomas series. The same witty humor, intellect and light suspense that I've come to love with this infamous character. As with the previous books, Odd Hours can be considered a stand alone book, yet I highly recommend starting at the first in the series to fully grasp the 'id' of this character.

Disappointing Change of Course in Odd Series
As a fan of the Odd Series, we felt this recent installment skewed far from what made the other books so good. Odd Thomas has lost the innocence and wonder that made him likable. Instead of encountering everyday ghosts and isolated catastrophes, he is now battling world-wide destruction. The encounters seemed overboard and silly. Dodging bullets. Killing sprees. This is not Odd.
Plus the whole 'mysterious' girl who refuses to answer any inquires is simply annoying and frustrating. He must be priming her for a future book, but here it was a waste with no closure. At least tease us with some purpose or indirect bites.
Hopefully, this is not the path Odd Thomas will continue on. Hopefully, Odd can return to his roots and make the story interesting again.

Odd Hours Review
Though I immensly enjoyed the latest novel in the Odd Thomas series, I was somewhat perplexed, put off if you will, by the way Dean launched into the storyline without much of a lead up and an equally confusing ending. Quite confusing. I kept flipping back to earlier sections, thinking I must have missed a few pages or something. Now, that being said, I absolutely loved the first few Odd novels, and I really do hope the next one keeps true to the spirit. I'd still recommend it other Odd followers out there, but not quite my cup of tea. Sorry If in saying so I offend anyone out there. I really did want to love it with as much enthusiam as the first few, but alas, it wasn't to be.

Absolutely EXQUISITE!
I cannot begin to say how long I have waited for this FOURTH book (having read the others!) and it was WELL WORTH THE WAIT!

The writing flows, and is darn near poetic! Picturesque and wonderful as a story continues and unfolds pages after page.

I read it in 4 days. As usual Koontz never disappoints!

Should you buy it? OF COURSE! Koontz fans will like it, Odd fans will LOVE it!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU !!!
