Must Have Medical Reference
Tarascon Pocket Pharamcopoeia is a require annual update for any pocket of a prescribing medical professional. As occurs every year, this edition has been updated with the lasted medications and continues to be easy to use and small enough and light enough to carry with any time, any place.

Great Pocket Reference
This is a great pocket reference for the busy physician. The best thing is that doesn't break when you drop it----like my PDA.

An "Indispensible" Little Book for Physicians
*****
I purchase each new Tarascon addition for my husband, who is a solo practitioner and specialist. He carries it with him in the pocket of his scrubs and uses it daily with almost every patient for accuracy in dosing.

He says that it is much easier to use for dosing than the PDR, much more convenient and quicker. He finds it much easier to use than any other source. The print size, which looks to be smaller, is however not too small for him.

I usually buy three at a time because that is how many he'll use up in a year due to wear-and-tear and misplacement, and then use the old ones from previous years for collage because of the beautiful thin-but-strong onion-skin type paper.

Its Tarascon.. nuff said
It is what it is. Not too many new things are in the updated 2008 version versus the older editions. However, it still is thee book to have, although I may purchase the larger version next time.

Carry it with me every single shift...
I've carried this in my pocket every shift since my very first preceptor gave it to me. It's absolutely indispenable. And now that I precept new nurses into a neurosurgical critical care unit, this is what they get from me on their first day. :)
